Casey Anthony appeared in court today upon request of the prosecution. This the first time Anthony has appeared in court since she was indicted by a grand jury in October on first degree murder charges in the death of her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony. Anthony had previously waived her right to appear in court- at the advice of her attorney Jose Baez who has been combating the sensationalizing news stories of the death of the toddler and her twenty-two-year old mother.
A compromised was reached concerning the 800 photos taken of evidence, the crime scene, and the remains of the two-year-old who was found December 11th near the home of George and Cindy Anthony, parents of Casey Anthony. Judge Strickland agreed that the photos-many gruesome and disturbing- could be stored on a password-protected database in which the defense team could access. Jose Baez and his team will have to sign an affidavit swearing that the photos will not be reproduced.
After the hearing, prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick gave Baez the two CDs and one DVD of images.
According to News 6, sources said plants were growing through the skeleton and bug evidence was also recovered, both of which helped scientists reach their conclusion that Casey Anthony murdered her child around the 18th of June.
Baez asked that all reports and maps used by law enforcement while searching for Caylee Anthony be turned over to him. It was reported in the news that a deputy claimed to have searched the area August 12th after receiving a second call from Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found the child’s skull on December 11th. Search teams combed areas of Orange County after the disappearance of the child was reported on July15th by her grandmother Cindy Anthony.
- Strickland granted defense’s request for the unedited 911 calls and other records from the Orange County meter reader who found Caylee’s remains Dec. 11. The meter reader had called authorities three times earlier in August.
- The judge granted the defense’s request for copies of the search warrants and items seized Dec. 11 and Dec. 20 from the home Anthony shared with her parents on Hopespring Drive.
- He did not rule on whether the defense will get maps, lists of volunteers and other records from Texas EquuSearch, a volunteer search group that helped look for Caylee. source

A victory for the Baez law firm was won in the civil suit against Anthony in which Zenaida Gonzales claims the use of her name contributed to her loss of employment and defamed her as many thought she was the “Zani” who Casey claimed took Caylee from her back in June.
“The court will not allow the deposition to take place as it has been indicated at this time,” Judge Jose Rodriguez said in court. source

Baez argued Casey Anthony could incriminate herself prior to going to court on the murder charges in March. However, Morgan and Morgan may be allowed to summit written questions for Anthony to answer and return in 30 days. “It’s a victory for Anthony because she doesn’t have to answer questions live at this time and can consult with her lawyer when she’s answering these questions,” Bill Sheaffer told Eyewitness News.
Baez filed a counter suit against Gonzales on Anthony’s behalf.
“They cannot have their cake and eat it too,” Morgan said, adding that Anthony “can’t sue someone and then say, ‘You can’t question me because of the Fifth Amendment.’ ” source
Morgan plans to question both Casey Anthony’s parents and her brother Lee Anthony as well.

Well that just goes to show anyone will try to make a buck! I think what this lady is trying to do is wrong since everyone knows that she wasn’t involved. As for her job letting her go since they thought she might be involved, then sue them for wrongful termination…DUH!
I think she has a case-Casey used her first and last name, gave the exact apt. she viewed, and described her car exactly.
Why she was terminated will probably come to light during the lawsuit.

Baez is totallty out of his sick infested mind how in hell is he gonna countersue Zenaida Gonzales even though she didn’t do nothing and the fact she told the truth is that she never met that lying client of his or his client’s daughter she killed and disposed of in the woods for months Gonzales had never baby for anybody in her life she goes to work and look after her own kids that piece of trash has dragged that woman’s(Z.Gonzales)name through the mud and lied on on her a dozen times and that was stupid of Casey for doing that in the first and as for her parents especially her mother Cindy she was a damn fool for lying to protect her daughter’s butt to start with for withholding and tampering with evidence by washing casey’s clothes and making up all this crap about wahat the car smelled and worst of all about that zenaida had this and zenaida had that that was bulls*#t to start with even before the the skelatal remains were found and identified as the missing tot Rick Plesea (Cindy’s brother )did the right thing defending gonzales and Jessie Grund by confronting Cindy through email because he had gotten sick and tired of all the lies and false accusations that she and george made to the police and everything with it even people casey had stolen from including the whole family but as soon as the trial starts all the way when casey is convicted Zenaida is gonna get back what she had lost and casey is gonna get the electric chair……..she’s gonna fry and Zenaida is gonna watch her sizzle!
