New tapes of Casey in jail after her initial arrest have been released. After viewing a couple, tears came to my eyes- from all the yawning I suppose.
Perhaps I’ve seen and read too much on this particular story. However, one thing did strike me as seemingly strange…in the video in which she is talking to her father, she refers to Caylee as “that little girl” and not “my little girl.” George is the only one, up until that point, that I had heard use that phrase. Here’s a link…it’s ‘miss you’ (update-videos below)
It seems to me that Casey is more like whomever she is speaking with at the time, devoid of her own personality. I almost sense she actually has it in for her own family, though in not a devious way as others may think.
Of all the stuff that has been said and seen, what we’ve yet to learn, other than where Caylee is, is exactly how:
- She came up with the Sawgrass apt. #, and the other ZG’s car description.
- Where is phone #2 and why did she need 2 phones?
- Why so many gas cans?
- Why did Grund go back on saying he heard Caylee on the 24th of June?
- Why would “Zannie” have a key to their house?
- How did George get buffaloed out of a lot of money?
- Who would benefit the most from both parent’s occupations?
- How did the additional hair get on the neighbor’s shovel?
It almost sounds as if people, other than Padilla, are making up their own scripts as the go too.
Phew! What a production!

I listened to her and Lee. It is very obvious Lee is trying to get information out of her. It is very obvious Casey is great at avoiding complete answers. A lot of I don’t think, I am not sure, keeps referring to her sim card, blah, blah, blah, she laughs, you can tell she is irritatede with him asking. I think Lee knows full well that his sister is capable of doing something to Caylee. I think Lee is smart staying out of the public eye until the trial. I think he and George will be Casey’s demise.
I think she doesn’t want to tell them what she was really doing instead of going to work at Universal each day.
funny too how it appears she is trying to point or lead Lee in the direction of Tony and the others she met. Listen closely to that. She is laughing, it all seems to be a joke to her. AAAGH
They know they are being monitored. Lee is struggling to ask questions that she can answer without actually answering them.
These clips will be on Youtube before long…I’ll add them to the video collection later.
and she is not one bit interested in what Lee is explaining to her about what they are doing for Caylee, she just says a bunch of that’s great, yeah, uhuhs, no emotion or overwhelming thank-yous, etc.
In listening to these it is obvious she doesn’t care one bit about anything but herself.
Yeah…she does seem to have contempt for all of them. It seems to be the norm in that area…seems everyone is following her lead.
George felt Casey wasnt working – but when he told
Cindy she discouraged him by telling him he wasnt a detective anymore. Why didnt Cindy want to know
for a fact that Casey wasnt working? Why didnt
they ever ask for a contact number for Zanny?
The Anthonys didnt do so many things that most
caring families would have done where casey and caylee were concerned.
Cindy preferred to keep her head in the sand. You are correct, George definitely knew something was going on. Perhaps there were too many issues in the family within the last two years to actually deal with all of them at one time.
Casey was 22-an adult who should have been capable of taking care of herself.
George and Cindy-midlife issues which are common among those in their age group. (A 22 year old wouldn’t understand that)
Perhaps Caylee was the last hope for Cindy not having an empty nest…maybe she overstepped her boundaries.
It seems as though not all of Casey’s friends were the type she’d bring home to meet her parents either.
I thought perhaps since Cindy was seeing a therapist who suggested
kicking Casey out and going for custody of Caylee, that Cindy didnt
want to “rock the boat” at that time so she just played along.
However, after the theft from the grandparents, Cindy couldnt contain herself and almost choked Casey. I think that was the catalyst to this whole thing, that incident brought this to a head. Casey’s attempts to
get close to a guy that she could live with to get out of her parents
house spoke more to me of desperation to move out rather than
so much of a sexual nature. Casey uses people up for her own
interests, and doesnt have deep emotions. Shes been promiscuous
for a long time – thats why she was never sure who Caylee’s father was. She was already getting involved somewhat with William Waters
a friend of Amys in case things didnt work out with Tony. Casey is
very verbal and very high IQ I believe. She didnt finish high school
but she is very well spoken – Sociopaths frequently have a high IQ
from what I have read. They also are very well spoken and smooth..
glib – is what I think the term is – glib with superficial charm – thats
Casey – scratch the surface or challenge them and they take off after
you the way Casey did in the initial phone calls with her mother when
she used profanity with Cindy. Casey fits the characteristics very well
of a sociopath. When she said the reward was half her bail, you could
see the wheels turning on how she could get her hands on that money.
She is truly a very dangerous individual and i do believe if she
had gotten away with killing Caylee she might have moved on to her
doing away with her parents.
Just spent 3 hours watching all the videos which IMO were all coded – this was to be expected.
Why oh Why didn’t Casey tell LE the TRUTH???
BECAUSE she knows that she will be either in jail for the rest of her life…or ON DEATH ROW!!!
Casey states that there were no drugs {apart from “pot”}
Please explain why she stole from everyone she came in contact with…even stealing gas???
Watching Casey “simpering/snivelling” for hours really made me feel for Caylee….sadly this little girl didn’t have a chance!!!
Initially I was sure that Casey SOLD Caylee for drugs…or that the drug people held her hostage…sadly I now feel that this beautiful little girl is dead! The way Casey whimpered her way through the tapes {& sent messages “in code to Lee”} makes me totally convinced
that she “killed” Caylee so that she could “Party” …..
I have met better pond scum!….both Casey and Jose Baez are DISGUSTING!!!!
Lee knows what is going on! There is no way she could have done all this by herself. Where was Lee during the time frame in question and has anyone checked her cell phone pings to that of the cell phone pings of any of the family members or the boyfriend? also so why is Lee keeping such a low profile unlike the grandparents? Did the police check under the pool? We have a pool like the one they have and the water never looks that clear no matter how much shock you use. One more thing some of the chloroform ingredients’ she would need she had access to right there at her house. Was there any shook in the home when they searched the house because they would need it to keep that pool clean we do for ours.
Artgal-you’ve made several key points about things I’ve already been thinking. I’ve wondered what Casey’s IQ was too…especially after learning about Caylee, only two, knowing 45 Spanish words. Everyone else seems to focus on the fact she didn’t finish high school. She seems quite skilled at deception-of course, that doesn’t tell us where Caylee is.
Jill-I’m wondering if Casey is capable of telling the truth.
Sony- At the time the searched the house, they probably weren’t looking for shock. I think the real shock came when they discovered an additional hair on the shovel recovered from the neighbor while in their evidence room.
I think Casey is a high IQ
whoops
I think Casey is a high IQ, low achiever, is what they used to call it in school. Very smart, bu doesnt do well in school. Apparently this
describes Casey – she is very verbal and has very good language skills.
I noticed she was very polite when speaking to the police – no sir,
yes sir, type of thing. Sociopathy doesnt occur much in females – only
about 15 percent typically, however, I think that because of the way
that they live, they have sharpened certain skills very well.
They are always lying, and thinking about getting in and out of situations that have occurred because of those lies. Consequently
their minds are always going, working the “angles”, thinking of more
lies to cover the lies they have already told. It might be mentally
exhausting to most of us, but to them its part of the game.
Sociopaths see only themselves as having worth – everyone else is someone to use. They like attention – I think Casey seemed almost
“giddy” when speaking to her parents, as if now SHE was the one
who had their attention. Cindy knows Casey better than anyone,
and Cindy knows Casey was lying. This case does show what a mother
will do to save her child. Not all mothers, but in Cindy’s case she
is a very determined and fierce person and she has decided that
no matter what, she is going to save Casey.
Watching the videos, I asked myself,”What exactly is Casey crying about?” When she said, “I just want to go home!” then paused and threw in “to help find Caylee…be with the family…” or words to that effect, her primary heartbreak is for herself being stuck in jail. She may have had no idea at the time she was putting this production together that it would skyrocket out of control. She fails to pass the test of a scared mom whose child is missing. And she keeps failing the test. She answers questions by embellishing and embroidering around the questions…the whole time trying to come up with the next lie. By the time she finishes her “answer”, you expect her to ask, “Um, what was the question again?” No one, except the exaperated detectives (back at the Universal interview when she led them on a wild goose chase) have ever really tried to drill through the BS that Casey is so good at spinning. Her family gently tries to pry, as I’m sure her lawyer does. She holds that “someone will kill Caylee if I talk” crap over her family so they keep sniffing down the wrong road….at least that’s where Cindy’s headed (George and Lee doubt Casey very much but pretend to back Cindy just to keep the peace and not appear to be going along with the naysayers).
I don’t think a body will be found, but I don’t see a jury believing Casey either.
for so many months I tried to avoid this case but it’s too damned sad to avoid. casey acts like a passive-aggressive type who simply lets things go along, hoping the outcome will be something other than how it obviously will turn out.
there simply is no way for casey anthony to avoid the inevitable. sure, there will be no unbiased jury – how could there be? – but she surely must know that she’s going to be convicted and that her life will be nothing more than being a “wife” to some other fellow psychopath behind bars.
her life now has as much hope as did caylee’s once that duct tape was put over the poor little girl’s mouth.
